You’ve probably noticed I’ve been a little sporadic lately. So much is brewing in my life right now that I wanted to send a personal update this week—my rhythm will return soon.
- My son is in his final month of high school—final projects, award ceremonies, prom . . . all the glorious (and bittersweet) things. I keep reminding myself I’m not the one who has to be stressed. Our bodies remember finals week like muscle memory, right?! If you’ve ever had one of those dreams where a paper is due and you forgot about it until 3 hours before—it’s like that. 😅
- With company coming for graduation, I’ve been diving into house projects—from painting to building a raised garden bed. I want my food to be hyperlocal again. Spring energy, baby!
- Health-wise, last fall brought a cascade of medically induced issues, right in time for the Spirituality of Aging retreat. But I’ve finally found my new medical team, and resetting my chronic conditions (and sports injuries!) has been nearly a part-time job. This week? Daily appointments.
- My beloved virtual assistant is stepping into his next chapter as a young adult—bittersweet and beautiful. He’s been such a vital partner in this business, and I’ve been pouring energy into creating systems to help transfer his magic to the next person. Please send him your gratitude if you’ve enjoyed the beauty and functionality around here!
- On the business front, things are shifting and aligning. My counseling practice is moving toward intensives (my sweet spot!), and I’m building up my coaching offerings. It’s been thrilling to:
- Host free livestreamed “Super Professionals” to support parents of high-support-needs kids.
- Teach my first Yoga Therapeutics for Emotional Health class at Kintsukuroi Counseling in Landen.
- Begin shaping Walk the Plan: Embodied and Aligned Business Planning to Get Sh*t Done.
If you’re a world-changing parent with a side hustle (or a heart-led biz of your own), this is for you. So many of us juggle our own neurodiversities and caregiving needs while still dreaming big. Staying focused on what truly matters helps us use our precious energy well—and look back with pride.
So that’s me right now. Spring is in the air. From the outside, you may have noticed a newsletter or two missing. But from the inside? All the goodness is brewing.
